Xiaomi's Mi TV series of smart TVs are hugely popular despite its somewhat confusing nomenclature. They offer impeccable picture quality without burning a hole in your pocket. The company does a commendable job of keeping them updated with the latest software. Several Mi TV models are now eligible for the latest Patchwall 3.0 update.
The Patchwall 3.0 software update is now available for the Mi TV 4C Pro, Mi TV 4A, Mi TV 4A Pro, Mi TV 4 Pro, Mi TV 4X, and Mi TV 4X Pro. The update brings forth some UI changes such as newer animations, MIUI 11 fonts, and more. It also lets users scroll horizontally, making it easier for them to find content. Oh, and there's a system-wide Dark Mode too.
The most significant addition of the Patchwall 3.0 update, however, is deeper integration with the newly-launched Disney+ Hotstar streaming service. Earlier versions of the software made it easier for users to access popular streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. Hotstar was on the list too, and needed an update to add Disney+ content to it.
Patchwall 3.0 also lets users view content from Docubay and Lattu Kids. The former is a repository of documentaries, while the latter boasts of over 1,500 hours of child-friendly content. There's also a new feature called 'Smart Curate'. It works by learning your viewing patterns and suggesting content accordingly. The software is rolling out now OTA and should be available to the Mi TV models listed above in the coming days.
