Xiaomi Mi Air 2S: Apple AirPods clones that offer 24 hours battery life, wireless charging and LHDC support

Xiaomi has returned with another pair of TWS earbuds, the Mi Air 2S. Spotted at the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) last month, the earbuds are now available to order for CNY 399 (~US$57).

Visually indistinguishable from the Mi AirDots Pro 2, Xiaomi claims that the Mi Air 2S offer twice the battery life that their twins do. Specifically, the Mi Air 2S should last 24 hours from one charge of their charging case. They will likely require a trip to their case after 5 hours of continuous use, though.

Battery life is not the only area that the Mi Air 2S improve over the Mi AirDots Pro 2, though. The new earbuds also offer wireless charging. The Mi Air 2S also have IR sensors to detect when you take them out of your ears. Both earbuds also have 14.22 mm drivers and support Bluetooth 5.0, along with the LHDC codec.

While Xiaomi is yet to announce the earbuds outside of China, we suspect that it will not be too long before they start appearing in other regions. Additionally, we have an inclining that they will be marketed as the Mi AirDots Pro 2S, seeing as the Mi AirDots Pro 2 are sold as the Mi Air 2 in China.
