The saga of Xiaomi releasing buggy Android 10 updates to its Android One handsets continues. The Mi A3 has arguably been the worse treated, having faced a litany of issues since Xiaomi upgraded it to the latest version of Android One in February. Bizarrely, the Mi A3 has received a fresh Android 9.0 Pie update in the interim, too.
Xiaomi has now started rolling out a new Android 10 update to the Mi A3, which should have started hitting some handsets as an OTA. Xiaomi stresses that while the update is now live, it is rolling the update in batches. Hence, consider the update released even if you are yet to receive a notification to download it.
However, little has apparently improved since we recommending against upgrading the device to the last Android 10 update in March. According to several reports online, V11.0.11.0.QFQMIXM does not address any of the bugs from which V11.0.8.0.QFQMIXM or its predecessor suffered.
Accordingly, we cannot recommend that you download this latest 1.33 GB update either. It is worth stressing that Xiaomi has only released Android 10 to Global handsets so far, with the company offering no word on when it plans to bring Android 10 the EU variant.
