New Mi A3 update fixes shutter speed issue in Pro mode
The past few months have been rough for Mi A3 owners, as the phone has received several Android 10 builds with different bugs. The company finally managed to send out a decent Android 10 update last month, however, and the new May patch further smoothens out whatever kinks were left from earlier builds.
The May update is now rolling out to the Mi A3. It weighs in at just 35.37 MB. The last patch was an even smaller 33 MB download. The new update bears the software version number "V11.0.15.0 QFQMIXM".
It supposedly fixes several bugs including the launcher issue, icon sizes, and the fingerprint reader problems from previous builds. Most notably, though, it's restored the shutter speed function to how it was on Android Pie.
After the Android 10 update, when in Pro Mode, users could only toggle a max shutter speed of 1/4s. That has now been fixed, however, and Mi A3 owners can now reduce their shutter speed to as low as 32s—useful for astrophotography.
