A new listing for "Mi True Wireless Earphones 2S" has appeared on the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) website. Based on this name, it seems that Xiaomi has a new TWS product on the way. However, the image that goes with their new apparent certification looks like one that is already on the market.

Xiaomi is no stranger to the release of true wireless (or TWS) earbuds that look somewhat like AirPods. Now, it appears that it has a new generation of these accessories on the way. However, their only corresponding image thus far look exactly like the existing one, which may cast aspersions on the validity of the leak suggesting their existence.

This photo does indeed seem to be one of the AirDots Pro 2, which are also known as the Xiaomi Air 2 Bluetooth Earphones in some markets. Then again, it is possible that the WPC has inserted it as a placeholder while their OEM comes up with an actual product image for them.

On the other hand, presuming these earbuds do indeed exist, they are to be called the "Mi True Wireless Earphones (another alternative name applied to their first generation) 2S". This suffix may indicate a cost-effective nature, and as such might not have warranted much of a re-design. However, there is no official indications as to their launch, price (or veracity) from Xiaomi as yet.
