Recent FCC documentation shows that Apple has what appears to be Powerbeats Pro 2 in the works. They have now picked up further certifications that probably put them close to an unveiling. Therefore, they may be launched in the US, Korea and Malaysia at the least.
Powerbeats Pro are "high-performance" TWS earbuds with in-built over-ear hooks aimed at active users. They also have many of the same specs as the AirPod series of earphones. According to some recent leaks, they are to get a 2020 version soon.
This evidence has come from recent FCC listings for 2 devices called the A2453 and A2454. They correspond to the left and right halves of a set of earbuds that strongly resemble the original Powerbeats Pro. It has been speculated that they may have a different, more Apple-flavored product name, but this may not in fact be the case.
The new earphones' existence is now proven further by their new certification with the Korean NRRA authority. Similarly, they have also reportedly popped up in the hands of the Malaysian SIRIM. This new approval confirms their model numbers; however, it does not offer any more insight on what they might offer compared to their apparent predecessors.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
