Beats' Studio Buds has emerged from the rumor mill as the next pair of TWS earbuds to be launched by Apple. The actual date of this event remains unknown; nevertheless, a new official registration for these peripherals have now been issued by Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC).
This certification suggests that leaks pointing to these new Beats truly-wireless earphones appearing on the market soon are indeed accurate. Photos linked to the NCC's process of testing show an earbud that seems to resemble those depicted in renders also associated with the Studio Buds.
Both sets of images show a stemless TWS earbud with an external casing seemingly designed for easy grip. One is shown without a tip in one of the NCC's newer photos, thereby possibly hinting at multiple ear-tip choices. They also indicate that a pair will come with the same oval charging case from earlier tips, as well as a short USB type C to C cable for charging.
The Beats Studio Buds' design is particularly interesting as it is now posited that the next generation of AirPods Pro will match them in terms of form-factor, rather than having their signature stems as usual. Then again, there are no signs that they will deviate from their classic monotone white, whereas the Studio Buds are thought to come in red, white or black.
