Galaxy S21 FE: a new Geekbench leak may confirm an 8GB RAM SKU for the upcoming smartphone
Samsung is slated to replicate a winning formula in 2021 with a successor for the popular Galaxy S20 FE. It is thought to be a slightly cut-down version of the main Galaxy S21 line, albeit one retaining triple rear cameras with a 64MP sensor, a flat 120Hz display and Snapdragon 888 processor.
Then again, an earlier specs-related leak pointed to a more than slightly underwhelming 6GB of RAM for the next-gen Fan Edition. It is derived from a Geekbench 5 listing for a Samsung SM-G990B, believed to be the S21 FE's model number. However, this device has apparently returned in a different and slightly upgraded form.
The benchmark has detected it as an 8GB device this time around, although the rest of its attributes, its Android 11-based ROM and up-to-2.84GHz Qualcomm platform included. Then again, this new "SM-G990B" scored far better than the last, hinting that either Samsung has optimized its version of One UI 3 that much more, or that its extra RAM is worth thinking about if one is really able to purchase a Galaxy S21 FE soon.
