Samsung has brought the latest version of its in-house OS to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Last week, the company released One UI 3.1 to the Galaxy Tab S6, and now its cheaper sibling has gotten in on the act. According to SamMobile, One UI 3.1 enables Samsung DeX on the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, among other changes.
It is unclear if the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite can use Samsung's desktop mode wirelessly as other Galaxy devices can. If the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite cannot use DeX wirelessly, then it will work over a wired connection. We have embedded a video below showing Samsung DeX working on a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite for reference.
One UI 3.1 for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite should be rolling out now as an over-the-air (OTA) download. Samsung released the Exynos 9611-powered tablet on Android 10, so Android 11 will not be its final stop. In fact, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is one of many Samsung devices set to receive three major Android updates, so software support should end as of Android 13.
