OPPO Find X3 Pro: a flagship with the best possible Samsung display yet cheaper than a Galaxy S21 Ultra, according to new leaks
OPPO has confirmed rumors that its 2021 flagship smartphone line, to be called the Find X3s, will launch in China on March 11, 2021. This series is thought to be headlined by the X3 Pro, a device expected to launch with a QHD+ AMOLED 10-bit color display. According to new hype from both official and tipster sources, the screen quality doesn't end there.
The eminent leaker Ice Universe has asserted that this premium device will be the next to feature the latest E4 AMOLED display type from Samsung. Moreover, this panel will also incorporate the LTPO technology also allegedly destined for the next generation of iPhones.
This, apparently, will allow the Find X3 Pro to support a refresh rate that can vary from 120Hz to just 5Hz. This potential boost to responsitivity in the upcoming OPPO phone may be superior even to that found in the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
On that note, another well-known tipster Roland Quandt now claims that OPPO will announce the Find X3 Pro's pricing at €1,149 (~US$1,369) for its 256GB internal storage SKU - whereas an analogous S21 Ultra unit now goes for €1200 (~$1,430) at present. The Pro is thought to be joined by X3 Neo and Lite variants on stage; they will apparently debut at €799 (~$952) and just €449 (~$535) respectively.
The vanilla X3, on the other hand, is also now rumored to come in at 5,499 yuan (or about $850). Note its absence from Quandt's new leak: the latest in a growing body of hints that this putative Snapdragon 870-powered device will not be a global release. Nevertheless, the X3 series is shaping up to be a contender across various tiers in 2021 thus far.
