Oppo Find X3 Pro said to be akin to carrying a portable microscope with 25x zoom macro camera
Smartphone photography continues to make major strides with the latest flagship smartphones able to produce DSLR-like photos. Recently, Google’s Pixel line has dazzled with its astrophotography mode while other makers have developed moon shooting modes. Oppo, however, is shifting its focus to macro photography with its new Find X3 Pro which will be launched on March 11.
Renowned leaker Evan Blass published a new article with new photos, video and details of the next flagship device from the Chinese smartphone maker. Among the fresh tidbits on offer, Blass says that the Oppo Find X3 features “a flash-ringed macro lens with 25x zoom that's being billed as a portable microscope”. We haven’t yet seen any photos taken with the new camera, but the prospect of what it might be able to shoot certainly has us intrigued.
The Oppo Find X3 Pro will also have at least one other groundbreaking feature. It will be the first smartphone on the market to feature end-to-end support for 10-bit color processing. This means that it will be able to shoot photos and video with 10-bit color depth but will also have a display that supports 10-bit color imaging capabilities as well. Coupled with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, a solid chunk of RAM and storage sizes up to at least 512 GB, it will be one of most potent Android flagships of 2021.
