OPPO's Find X3 Pro moniker is confirmed for the first time in a new leak
2021 has seen a steady torrent of OPPO flagship leaks, including an indication that one of them could be a benchmarking champion on its launch. Based on this OEM's 2020 high-end offerings, it is expected to be called the Find X3 Pro on its launch, although there was little actual certainty of that name to date.
Instead, it was only known by its model numbers PEEM00 (the Chinese-market version) and CPH2173 (international version) to date. However, Google's ARCore Supported Devices List has just been updated to include an OPPO Find X3 Pro.
It joins the Find X2 and X2 Pro on this list, as well as the Reno5 and 5 Pro 5G, on this list. The newly all-but-official X3 Pro supports Depth API, as does flagships such as the OnePlus 8T and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. However, the most striking thing about this new leak is that there is no Find X3 to join it here.
Then again, Google's list also includes an F19 Pro+, despite the fact OPPO effectively killed the F series off some time ago. In addition, the also-rumored OPPO Find X3 Lite (thought to be a rebranded Reno5) and Find X3 Neo are not on this list. Then again, should they really exist, they may be added later.
Regardless, this new evidence suggests that OPPO plans to launch just 1 variant, even though it is called the Pro, in March 2021. It is projected to have up to 12GB of RAM and a 256GB internal storage option, as well as a quad rear camera set-up with dual 50MP sensors.
