Oppo has launched the Reno5 series in China. The series comprises the Reno5, Reno5 Pro and Reno5 Pro+, although only the latter features Sony's new IMX766 camera. All three devices have 90 Hz displays and larger battery capacities. The Reno5 Pro+ will be officially unveiled on December 24.

Oppo has launched the Reno5 series, just hours after Digital Chat Station leaked several specifications of the Reno5 Pro+. The company has not released the latter today, but it has confirmed that it will do so on December 24. Nonetheless, GSMArena has obtained a photo of the upcoming handset, which we have included above. Unsurprisingly, the Reno5 Pro+ resembles the Pro model, albeit with minor changes to its rear-facing camera arrangement.

The Reno5 Pro+ will be the first smartphone with Sony's IMX776 camera, a 50 MP sensor that is not present on the rest of the Reno5 series. Instead, the Reno5 and Reno5 Pro both have 64 MP sensors as their primary cameras. Additionally, Oppo is expected to equip the Reno5 Pro+ with a Snapdragon 865, which would make for the third SoC choice of the Reno5 series.

The Reno5 and Reno5 Pro come with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of storage. However, the former has a Snapdragon 765G, while Oppo has equipped the latter with a Dimensity 1000+. The Reno5 Pro also has a slightly larger battery than the Reno5 and a larger screen. You can view an overview of the specifications of the Reno5 and Reno5 Pro below.

The Reno5 series starts at CNY 2,699 (~US$412) for the entry-level edition of the Reno 5. The Reno5 Pro costs from CNY 3,399 (~US$519), though. There is no word on how much the Reno5 Pro+ will retail for, though.
