Samsung pitches the Galaxy S21 FE as a back-to-school-ready device in its latest leak

Samsung is slated to replicate its success with the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (or S20 FE) in 2021, although its next generation is also rumored to miss the OEM's next major product event due to manufacturing issues. Then again, these hints are contradicted by the latest leak pertaining to the phone.

It consists of a new Instagram teaser spotted by 9to5Google, apparently posted by Samsung asking what viewers what they intended to have in their backpack on their return to school or college. The image created for the new teaser makes a suggestion: a phone matching renders associated with the Galaxy S21 FE.

Given that it appears alongside a second product that might be the upcoming Galaxy Buds2, the message here just might be that the S21 FE might make it to Unpacked on August 11, 2021 after all. Or rather, it might be if the Instagram post in question was still to be found on the platform.

Therefore, it might be that Samsung had released the teaser in error, and that its subsequent deletion indicates that its launch has indeed been postponed for later in 2021. Currently, this event is thought to take place in October of this year.
