Roland Quandt has delivered updates about the release of upcoming flagship Samsung hardware. Based on previous rumours and leaks, the South Korean company has two foldable smartphones and multiple smartwatches in development, to name but a few.
According to Quandt, Samsung has started mass producing the following devices in 'large quantities':
- Galaxy Buds 2 (SM-R177)
- Galaxy Z Fold3
- Galaxy Z Flip3
- Galaxy Watch 4
- Galaxy Watch Active 4
- Galaxy S21 FE
However, Quandt asserts that Samsung produced 'a few ten thousand parts' for the Galaxy S21 FE before stopping. While he stresses that the Galaxy S21 FE is not cancelled, there is no explanation for why Samsung has stopped producing it for the time being, beyond what has been discussed previously.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S21 FE in August. Launch dates for the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 remain unknown currently, though. Similarly, Samsung has not hinted at when it plans to announce the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 series. The company will host a 'New Watch Experience' at MWC 2021 on June 28 though, so we should find out more about its rumoured smartwatches next week.
