The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE could have microSD support after all
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE continues to prove elusive, no doubt due to the current global chip shortage. Much has been said about the phone but a new leak has now debunked one particularly distressing rumor about the upcoming flagship killer.
Going by leaker Front Tron, it seems rumors that the Galaxy S21 FE would not offer microSD support were misguided. These reports surfaced two weeks ago after the phone's user manual leaked online. Front Tron clarifies, however, that an inside source has seen evidence of microSD support on the phone. It may not be much but the leaker has a solid record with matters like this.
While this isn't particularly groundbreaking—the S20 FE had microSD support—it's interesting as the Galaxy S21 phones did not. Fans may hope that could hint at a return of the feature on the S22 series but those hopes are to be tempered with caution. The Galaxy Note 10 Lite, for example, launched with a 3.5mm jack after the Note 10 ditched the port, but it never really meant much in the long run, as Samsung still cut the headphone jack from subsequent flagship phones.
