Apple analyst reveals all iPhone 13 storage configurations and predicts AirPods 3 launch on Tuesday
The apparent leaked details regarding the changes to Apple's iPhone 13 storage options from an Ukraine-based vendor a few days ago did not make all too much sense, especially because the leak claimed that the successor to the iPhone 12 Pro (from US$949 on Amazon) would not be offered with more than 256GB of storage. According to the more established Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple's iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will all receive much more attractive storage options.
Kuo claims that Apple will discontinue the 64GB variant of its flagships smartphones, which will now feature 128GB of storage on all base models. However, it remains unclear if Apple will increase the price of the base model iPhone 13 accordingly. Kuo says the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will further be available with 256GB and 512GB of storage, while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will, for the first time ever, have an additional 1TB storage option.
Kuo has more good news for fans who are waiting for an update to Apple's popular true wireless headphones. He expects that the AirPods 3 will be announced on September 14 alongside the iPhone 13. The new AirPods will feature a design similar to the more costly AirPods Pro, but Kuo also expects that Apple will keep the second generation AirPods in its lineup, which may indicate that the redesigned AirPods 3 could be more expensive than the previous model.
