Samsung failed to fit the Galaxy S21 FE into its latest Unpacked event; however, the upcoming phone may at least have the Galaxy Buds to match it when it does eventually launch. These new popcorn-form TWS earbuds are touted to fit much of their Pro counterpart's best aspects into an updated product.
Not only do they come in different colors, the Buds2 are also now touted as the lightest iterations of their series thus far. Nevertheless, they also pack a dedicated tweeter and driver into their form-factor for "mesmerizing" sound, not to mention the mics necessary for active noise cancellation (ANC) that might exclude up to "98%" of unwanted noise.
Samsung estimates that each pair will last 5 hours with this feature on, or 7 without. Their case - a uniform white across all SKUs for once - is rated to extend these playback times to 20 hours. The Galaxy Buds2 are also rated to support the Ambient and Conversation modes of their predecessors.
The Galaxy Buds2 even reprise the ability to switch between different Samsung devices in a context-dependent manner (for example, disconnecting from a PC to take a call on a phone). Despite this, the OEM has kept their starting price at US$149. They will be made available to order from August 27, 2021.
