Honor 50: new leaks may confirm the phones' main specs, color options and performance
Honor has confirmed that it will launch its new 50 series of phones on June 16, 2021. A combination of official teasers and leaks hint that we should expect definitively premium mid-rangers in Pro and vanilla flavors (at least) on this date. The latest tips on the subject do nothing to dispel that.
Some of these concern the 50 and 50 Pro's looks, from both the front and rear. They indicate that they will both get curved displays, although that of the former will have a central singular punch-hole selfie camera, whereas the Pro is destined for dual corner-mounted punch-hole shooters (32+8MP, according to the latest rumors).
The new tips also hint that both variants will launch in the same bronze-ish, silver-white, black and forest-green hues. Some recent smartphone have launched with rear panel finishes with a radial light-splitting effect, whereas others have a slightly more modern sand-blasted look; according to new renders, some Honor 50 SKUs will exhibit both at once.
As for their internals, AnTuTu Benchmark now claims to have tested the Honor RNA-AN00 (very probably the 50 Pro), and has found that its Snapdragon 778G processor has garnered a score of 525904. It has apparently been helped there by UFS 2.x memory, LPDDR4X RAM and a display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Other new reports assert that the large main sensor seen in earlier 50 Pro leaks has a resolution of 108MP, and is joined by a 13MP wide-angle lens; an 8MP telephoto lens and a TOF depth-sensor. All in all, this might represent an intriguing new mobile device on its upcoming launch...presuming it starts at the right price, of course.
