New rumors emanating from the Weibo social media platform hint at a phone called the X20, slated to be released by Honor after the launch of its premium 50 series. It may have a 120Hz 6.7-inch display, as well as 3 rear cameras in a vertical off-center housing.

Honor seems to have re-instated and re-energized its smartphone business following some significant corporate upheaval. This involves an official launch date of its premium mid-range 50 series. Now, new leaks suggest that this event will be followed by a new generation for the OEM's X line as well.

They mainly consist of live images purporting to show an "Honor X20" in the wild. It shows a phone from the back, with an "arc camera" housing (read: OPPO Reno- or Samsung-like with rounded edges) set into a panel finished in purple shading to gray.

This very slightly out-moded style hints at a mid-range, or possibly upper-mid-range, product. Additional rumors of a 120Hz refresh rate for a 6.7-inch LCD display, a 4,500mAh battery and the 66W charging possibly also destined for the Honor 50 base model may reinforce that impression.

The reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has also acknowledged the existence of this Honor X20, asserting that its launch is scheduled to take place after that of the 50 series in June 2021. According to this leaker, it will be revealed as a 5G device at that point, although its SoC, RAM and storage configurations remain a mystery for now.
