Huawei launches the FreeBuds 4 as comfort-focused, ANC TWS earbuds
Huawei has launched its new MatePads and Watches in Europe today (June 2, 2021) - as well as the new TWS earbuds to go along with them. The FreeBuds 4 look much like their predecessors (and, by extension, the Apple AirPods), although the OEM asserts that it has packed some user-friendly new features into these new versions.
They mostly revolve around their size and weight, as Huawei has honed their form-factor down to 4.1 grams (g) per earbuds. Nevertheless, each one also contains a 14.3 millimeter (mm) driver, a generous spec in a TWS product. Each FreeBud 4 also packs 2 mics for "Uplink Noise Cancellation" during voice-calls.
Huawei has also provided "Intelligent Dynamic Noise Cancellation" in the FreeBuds 4. They also support Bluetooth 5.2, as well as the AAC and SBC codices. This new generation of TWS earbuds come in Ceramic White or Silver Frost colorways, and are priced at 999 yuan (~US$155). They will not be available to buy until June 6, 2021, however.
