The Huawei MateView and MateView GT are now official in Germany. The former is a creator-specific 4K monitor, while the latter is a curved, 165Hz WQHD SKU earmarked for gamers. Prices start at EUR 549 for the MateView GT and EUR 699 for the MateView.

Huawei has supplemented its MatePad 11 and MatePad Pro with two new monitors. The Huawei MateView and MateView GT offer powerful specs for gamers, content creators and regular users alike. Both models check all the boxes for a high-end monitor, complete with a high-refresh-rate panel, HDR support, and even an integrated soundbar on the MateView GT. Both monitors have been launched in Germany. There is no word about its global availability just yet.

Starting with the Huawei MateView, we get a 28.2-inch (3,840 x 2,560) panel with a refresh rate of 60Hz. It covers 100% of the sRGB and 90% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and has a peak brightness of 500 nits. Huawei claims that the monitor's delta E values are lower than 0.2. HDR and VESA Display HDR 400 certification is included, too. Its specs suggest that it is a monitor intended for content creators looking for a colour-accurate monitor. The Huawei MateView also has a fully-decked USB hub, complete with a second USB Type-C port and three USB 3.0 Type-A ports. A mini-DP 2.1 port and HDMI 2.0 port is included, too. Lastly, you can kiss bulky power bricks goodbye, as the Huawei MateView draws power from a USB Type-C port. The monitor will cost EUR 699 in Germany and will be available for purchase soon.

Moving on to the Huawei MateView GT, we get a curved (1500R) 34-inch WQHD (3,440 x 1,440) panel clocked at 165Hz. It is a tad less colour accurate than the MateView (90% DCI-P3, 100% sRGB, delta E <0.2) and has an average brightness of 350 nits. These compromises are understandable, given that it is a gaming monitor. Many would consider its 4ms response time to be a tad slow, though. It has an integrated soundbar, too. Input options include two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DP port, a 3.5mm combo audio jack and a USB Type-C port. The MateView GT also draws power from a USB Type-C port. It will retail at EUR 549 in Germany.
