Huawei claims to have started rolling out EMUI 11 to all devices globally
Huawei claims to be on the verge of completing its global EMUI 11 rollout, nearly seven months after it announced it. In October 2020, the company promised to update 37 devices to the OS, but this only applied to those in China. It took Huawei another month to announce its EMUI 11 upgrade plan for nine regions, which it delineated as:
- Africa
- Asia Pacific
- India
- Japan
- Latin America
- Middle East
- Russia
- North-Eastern Europe
- Western Europe
Initially, Huawei promised to roll out EMUI 11 to all devices in Q1 2021, but that did not materialise. In fact, it is yet to finish its global update plan, although all devices have started receiving the upgrade in batches, at the very least.
Anecdotally, 'pushing in batches' means that Huawei could take another month or two before it claims to have delivered the update to all users. You can read what stage your device is on Huawei's EMUI 11 roadmap below in its region-specific update plans.
