The Redmi AirDots 3 Pro are slated for re-launch as the POCO Pop Buds soon
Redmi's AirDots 3 Pro are now official in China; now, it seems fans of the brand located elsewhere might also be able to order some in the near future. The blog FoneArena has just noticed that Xiaomi has just had them certified under 2 additional, heretofore-unknown names.
They are the POCO Pop Buds and Redmi Buds 3 Pro. Despite the variation in these new monikers, they all have the same model number as the AirDots 3 Pro (TWSEJ01ZM). Accordingly, this leak might confirm the launch of this brand's inaugural TWS earbuds, following speculation that they would do so, most likely in India, from about a year ago now.
It is reasonable to suspect that the Covid-19 pandemic might have disrupted POCO's plans to break into this new category until now. As for the Redmi Buds 3 Pro, they might be destined for regions such as Europe under their new name.
Those who plan to buy either iteration might expect specs such as "AI adaptive" noise cancellation, 9 millimeter (mm) "composite dynamic" drivers and the same Bluetooth 5.2 standard found in the AirDots 3 Pro.
As for the cost, Redmi has announced a recommended price of 349 yuan (~US$55) for the buds, although there is no guarantee this will translate precisely should they truly hit their new markets soon.
