Update: Redmi has announced the Buds 3 today (September 6, 2021), confirming they will start at 159 yuan (~US$31), a price that does not cover ANC.
However, the brand does assert they have noise reduction during voice calls, as well as generally high-quality audio. These new TWS earbuds will be available via crowdfunding on Xiaomi's Chinese Youpin platform in another 2 days.
Original Article: Redmi has started hinting that its upcoming Buds 3 are the ideal accessory to take back into the classroom in this quarter of 2021 (3Q2021). The Xiaomi brand has also revealed the new TWS peripherals' design via its official Weibo channel in advance. Their new poster indicates an "AirPod-clone" look, right down to the white colorway and boxy charging case.
Redmi has yet to offer any specs in the run-up to its Buds 3 launch, besides hinting at their "hardcore" attributes that potential customers may most appreciate. However, the tipster Digital Chat Station has potentially stepped in here with a claim that the TWS earbuds are based on the same more or less up-to-date Qualcomm QCC3040 chipset found in the AirDots 3. Accordingly, the newer buds will support Bluetooth 5.2, or so the tipster reasons.
Their alleged audio platform also supports specs that include aptX Adaptive, a low-latency mode for gaming and active noise cancellation (ANC). Then again, this comprises no guarantee that the Redmi Buds 3 will launch with any of these properties. Redmi is much more certain to reveal what the buds will offer on September 6, 2021.
