Huawei has debuted its latest FreeBuds 4i peripherals as part of its Mate X2 event today (February 22, 2021). They, like their 3i forebears, are AirPod clones, although they also have a new, oval charging case. It has a 215mAh capacity, which, with the 55mAh in each bud, brings their estimated battery life up to a possible 10 hours (with their ANC turned off).
Huawei claims it has set the FreeBuds 4i apart in their market with a "3D bionic design". They also have 10mm dynamic drivers and dual mics. They are also present in the 3i buds, although their successors also have the most up-to-date Bluetooth 5.2 standard.
The Huawei FreeBuds 4i have a vibrant red colorway in addition to black and white options. They have been set at a price of 499 yuan (~US$77). The new TWS earbuds are available to pre-order from now, albeit only on the OEM's online Vmall platform in China. Alternatively, their first general sale will start on March 8, 2021.
