LG updates the self-cleaning TONE FREE earbuds with Bluetooth 5.2 and up to 24 hours of battery life
The DFP8Ws are the latest iterations of LG's TONE FREE earbuds with a UVnano charging case. Admittedly, this means they look a lot like their predecessors the FN7s, although the normal glossy plastic has been confined to their AirPods Pro-esque stems this time. Nevertheless, these features still incorporate touch controls and 1 of the buds' 3 microphones.
These components support both calls and ANC, as with the previous generation. LG has also continued its partnership with Meridian Audio for "clear" and "immersive" sound in the TONE FREE DFP8Ws. Their 8mm drivers could be larger, although the OEM claims that a pairing with new flexible silicon diaphragms makes for up to 75.5% better bass compared to the previous model.
The DFP8Ws also upgrade to Bluetooth 5.2, as opposed to 5.1 in their predecessors. They are also rated for up to 24 hours of battery life (case and earbuds combined), whereas their forebears might have lasted up to 21. LG has launched these new UV-sanitized TWS earbuds in black, white or beige with a starting guide-price of €180 (~US$214).
