LG now has a few generations of its TONE FREE AirPod-clones under its belt. Now, it has announced a new one. These buds look much like the old, except that they support active noise-cancelling (ANC) this time. Their series' UVnano self-disinfecting technology is also still here.

LG's TONE FREE earbuds are of the "stem" form-factor popularized by Apple's AirPods, although this take has a "Stylish Black" colorway as well as a plain white one. Now, with their new HBS-FN7 generation, they pack ANC and Bluetooth 5.1 as well for the first time.

LG has employed a 3-mic system in order to deliver this noise-blocking spec. The OEM claims that, in conjunction with their "patented twist-fit Vortex Ribs design" ear-tips, the feature results in unwanted ambient noise that is "almost completely neutralized".

The TONE FREE buds are also known for having a case rated to decontaminate them through UV exposure. This feature is back in the FN7s, and is also paired with a new external LED to display its progress in the new generation.

It also adds up to 21 hours (with ANC off, or 15 with it on) of battery life to the buds. This case also bears the branding of Meridian Audio, which has tuned them for a "realistic" sound-stage and precision in vocals.

These new accessories have launched today (October 26, 2020) in LG's native South Korea, with introductions to the North American, European and Asian markets late in the same year. Their price has reportedly been set at 219,000 won (~US$193) in their first region.
