1More announces that its ANC earbuds are the first TWS devices to be THX-certified

1More is an emerging audio brand that offers often high-end wireless earphones such as its Dual Driver ANC neckbuds. Another recent release are the True Wireless ANC In-Ear Headphones (EHD9001TA), the company's inaugural combination of these specs. It has announced that they are also now the first TWS earphones to have been awarded official recognition from THX.

This certification is conducted by the group based on parameters such as distortion, frequency response and noise isolation. 1More claims it has achieved this thanks to its in-house QuietMax technology, which enhances sound quality in the presence of ANC.

This is conferred on the earbuds through a combination of hybrid and dual-band ANC technology, in addition to dual drivers, precise audio tuning, and wind-noise reduction. However, it should be noted that not all units on the market have its new attribute.

Only those EHD9001TA sets manufactured from June 2020 on and with firmware updated to v3.62 or higher are THX certified. Owners can check their earphones for these properties on this page. However, a consumer looking to buy a new pair just to make sure should be aware that the new spec does not come cheap.

The 1More True Wireless ANC In-Ear Headphones were originally released at US$199.99, although they are available on their US-only store for $161.99 at the time of writing. These earphones are also available in other markets via Amazon.
