Lenovo brings its ANC game with the Shadow Black Yoga Headphones
Lenovo has updated its Yoga ANC Headphones, which is now available in Shadow Black. As its name suggests, the over-ear headphones support active noise cancellation (ANC). However, Lenovo is pricing the Yogas at €149.99 and US$149.99, making them decidedly cheaper than other popular ANC headphones like the Bose 700, Surface Headphones 2 or Sony WH-1000XM4.
According to Lenovo, the Yogas support Hybrid ANC, which translates to -30 dB of noise cancellation. The headphones support two levels of ANC, for reference. The Yoga ANC Headphones rely on 40 mm neodymium drivers that have an impedance of 32 ohms and operate from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The drivers also support a dynamic range of up to 110 dB.
Lenovo states that the headphones should last up to 14 hours on a single charge, but only with ANC off. The manufacturer does not give a battery life estimate with ANC enabled, though. While 14 hours is a shorter battery life estimate than more expensive over-ear headphones, the Yogas should last at least a full working day before needing to be recharged. Lenovo has included a USB Type-C port for doing so, although it sets expectations at a 3 hour recharge time, which is rather long.
The Yoga ANC Headphones weighs 214 g and supports Bluetooth codecs like AAC, aptX, aptXLL and HP1.7. The headphones will be available to purchase from October.
