According to a new Bluetooth SIG certification, Xiaomi is about to bring ANC to the Mi range of TWS earbuds. In fact, it would be a patent case of false advertising if it did not, as the products in question are clearly called the Mi Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Earphones.
These new peripherals are now cleared to use Bluetooth 5.0, as well as the SBC and AAC audio codecs along with the IPX4 ingress-protection rating. Therefore, these Mi earbuds are shaping up to be a relatively high-end addition to their line.
Accordingly, it is possible Xiaomi is preparing them for launch now so as to accompany a premium smartphone as new ideal accessories for such a device. Coincidentally, the Mi 10 Pro+ (or Plus) is currently projected to debut sometime in August 2020.
Ironically, this phone is said to have a headphone jack, but probably would play nice with some ANC-enabled wireless add-ons anyway.
