The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic is Xiaomi's latest pair of budget TWS earbuds. Featuring 14.2 mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and up to 20 hours of battery life, the Earphones 2 Basic retails for €39.99 in the EU and £39.99 in the UK. The earbuds also include touch controls, dual microphones and IR sensors for in-ear detection.

Xiaomi has announced the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic, its latest budget TWS earbuds. A rebrand of the Mi AirDots 2 SE that Xiaomi unveiled in May, the Earphones 2 Basic feature 14.2 mm drivers and have an impedance of 32 ohms. The earbuds also have touch controls, dual microphones and IR sensors for in-ear detection. The earbuds support the AAC and SBC Bluetooth codecs too and communicate with devices via Bluetooth 5.0.

According to Xiaomi, the Earphones 2 Basic will last up to 5 hours on a single charge and 20 hours with the included charging case. Additionally, it will take 1:30 hours to recharge the earbuds fully. The earbuds themselves weigh 4.7 g each, while the charging case comes in at 48 g.

Xiaomi is yet to confirm when it will make the Earphones 2 Basic available to purchase. However, it has priced its budget earbuds at €39.99 in the Eurozone and £39.99 in the UK. Xiaomi will only sell them in white, too. Unquestionably, the Earphones 2 Basic resemble the Apple AirPods, with the design of the former being almost indistinguishable from the latter.
