AirPods Studio, ARM MacBook and MacBook Pro 13, new iPad Pro, iPhone 12 series and HomePod refresh are all arriving between August and October
Apple is planning some major hardware refreshes before the end of the year, according to several leaks. The information comes from two relatively unknown Twitter accounts, so we would recommend treating the following with some caution. However, Apple Insider seems to believe that the dates provided are legitimate.
According to @komiya_kj, Apple will release a new iMac, the AirPods Studio, the HomePod 2 and a HomePod Mini on August 19. These will be unveiled via website updates, a release method that Apple has been keen on in recent months. The company will then follow the August 19 triple release with a Special Event on September 8 where it will unveil the iPhone 12 series, a new iPad and the Apple Watch Series 6.
The September 8 Special Event will not be the final hardware launch of the year, though. The same leaker claims that Apple will host another Special Event on October 27 for the announcement of the two ARM-powered laptops, the MacBook and MacBook Pro 13. The event will also be when Apple announces a new iPad Pro.
@komiya_kj claims that the 4K Apple TV will be unveiled in October too. Meanwhile, the long-awaited AirPower and AirPower Mini will make their way to either the September or October special events.
