Leaked iPad Pro 2021 renders provide a look at Apple's next 12.9-inch tablet
Apple is reputedly set to unveil a new set of iPad Pros soon, with the current models coming up to their first anniversary in March. According to 91Mobiles, it has obtained CAD renders of what will be the next 12.9-inch version of Apple's premium tablet line. If Apple sticks with this screen size for this year, then it will be the fifth 12.9-inch iPad that the company will have released.
91Mobiles has not provided any internal specifications of the next 12.9-inch iPad Pro, but it claims that it will have thinner display bezels than the 2020 model. Additionally, its frame will have squared-off edges, which would be in keeping with the design language of the iPhone 12 series. 91Mobiles adds that the tablet will have a squarish camera module, although it appears that Apple has just changed the orientation of the camera lenses. This could be indicative of upgraded camera hardware, or it may be for aesthetics.
Rumour has it that Apple will equip its next iPad Pro series with mini-LED screens, along with an upgraded chipset. 91Mobiles believes that this could be the A14 Bionic chipset, but we would reserve judgement until we hear more. A new and more powerful 'X' chipset would seem more likely, in our opinion. It is unclear when Apple plans to release the next iPad Pros, too.
