The Redmi 6 Pro has bagged the upgrade to MIUI 12. Xiaomi released the mid-range handset in July 2018 on Android 8.1 Oreo. The device has not been upgraded from Android 9.0 Pie on MIUI 11, and that remains unchanged for the time being with MIUI 12. The update has only gone live for Chinese devices so far, but we would expect the Indian edition to follow suit in the next few weeks. It is worth keeping in mind that Xiaomi sold the Redmi 6 Pro as the Mi A2 Lite outside of China and India. The Mi A2 Lite has already been upgraded to Android 10 courtesy of the Android One program, so it is ahead of the Redmi 6 Pro in that respect.
At the other end of Xiaomi's devices is the Mi 10, which has just started receiving the inaugural MIUI 12 update in Russia. The update for Russian handsets follows equivalent ones on the China, EEA and Global branches of MIUI. Only the China branch has received more than one MIUI 12-based update so far though, for reference.
We should point out that these updates for the Redmi 6 Pro and Mi 10 are both Beta Stable builds for the time being. This means that Xiaomi is only pushing the updates to a few devices while it determines whether there are any bugs that it missed at earlier stages of testing.
