The stable MIUI 12 update has arrived for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro in Europe, a few days after an equivalent one for the Mi 10 arrived. Xiaomi has also begun upgrading the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A to Android 10 globally.

The Mi 10 Pro has grabbed the MIUI 12 update on the EU branch of MIUI. The update follows an equivalent upgrade for the regular Mi 10 that went live last week. According to a Mi Community thread, the update is a Beta Stable build for the time being. In short, this means that Xiaomi is pushing it to select handsets to determine whether there are any bugs that have been missed at earlier stages of testing.

However, the update is available to download manually should you wish to try it. Piunikaweb and Xiaomi Firmware Updater have somehow found the download link, which is hosted on Xiaomi's servers. The update, called V12.0.1.0.QJAEUXM, carries the typical changelog for all inaugural builds of MIUI 12.

Separately, Android 10 has found its way to the global editions of the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A. Both updates are based on MIUI 11, which the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A launched with last year. MIUI 12 is expected to arrive for both devices in a few months time, but the move from Android 9.0 Pie to Android 10 is a good start, at any rate.
