Puro Sound Labs makes headphones and headsets in line with its philosophy that audio quality and clarity can be achieved without raising listening volumes to potentially damaging levels. Accordingly, the OEM claims their products are very popular with adult listeners and have thus been out of stock on platforms such as Amazon for some time.
Now, however, it is apparently back with the PuroPro ANC headphones. They are touted to deliver "studio grade audio quality", even though they are programmed to regulate volume levels throughout a given day of use in line with World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations: a maximum of 85 decibels (dB) for up to 8 hours, and 95dB for up to 50 minutes, per day.
Nevertheless, Puro claims that its in-house "Balanced Response Curve" results in "amazing" user experiences, particularly with respect to vocal ranges. The PuroPros also come with 2-stage ANC for different situations and have a "slick" (and all black) design.
The PuroGamer headset has the same volume-limiting and Balanced Response Curve technology, as well as an omnidirectional mic that is detachable. It normally goes for US$69.99 (or £59.99) on Amazon; however, during the Prime Day event (October 13-14, 2020), this price will go down to $49.99 or £49.99.
The PuroPro ANC headphones, on the other hand, started at $199/£139.99, but will be available for $149.99/£94.99 instead during the sale.
