MagyarWalmart exclusive Motile laptops now shipping with THX spatial audio, 1080p displays, and AMD Ryzen 5 3500U for only $600
Earlier this year, Walmart introduced its own lineup of gaming PCs called Overpowered. The series focuses on high performance at aggressively lower prices than what you'd find from other OEMs like Asus, MSI, HP, and others. Walmart is now ready to take a similar approach in the budget-midrange laptop space with a new house brand called Motile.
The Motile series consists of only one 14.1-inch model with no 15.6-inch versions for now. In order to keep costs low, initial SKUs will come with either 2nd gen AMD Ryzen 3 or Ryzen 5 processors instead of the more common Intel Core U series. The series boasts THX-certified speakers and 1080p displays as unique selling points in a big sea of competing alternatives.
The Ryzen 3 and Ryzen 5 SKUs start at just $500 and $600, respectively, with Black, Rose Gold, and Silver color options. Unfortunately, the specifications sheet does not specify whether the processor is a Ryzen 3 3200U or 3300U. In either case, expect raw performance to be most similar to a Core i3-8145U.
