Recent tips pointing to new TWS earbuds coming from Apple soon may have raised hopes of new AirPods; however, these accessories have emerged on the leaks circuit as the Beats Studio Buds instead. Nevertheless, this may be good potential news for fans of stemless wireless earphones, as the new devices are depicted as innovative and particularly compact new options along these lines.
Now, according to the Apple-focused leaker Jon Prosser, they may also come in at a relatively pleasing price as well. The "Studio Buds" will apparently start at US$149.99, whereas the current crop of AirPods cost ~$160 at best on Apple's website.
Furthermore, their most relevant predecessors, the Beats Powerbeats Pro, started at ~$250 (although they may be found online for closer to $150 at present). This new alleged product from the brand is projected to come with active noise cancellation (ANC), with possibly enhanced audio quality in general.
They are thus currently anticipated as a preview for the next AirPods Pro and what they may offer, as these TWS earbuds are now said to drop the classic "hair-dryer" look for the first time. As for their availability, Prosser claims not to have heard an exact date for their release (in the US, at least) as yet, although the tipster does indicate that they will be announced "imminently".
