Recently spotted Bluetooth certificates have indicated an upcoming announcement of two new products from the Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi: the Redmi AirDots 2 and the Redmi SonicBass Wireless Earphones. The first Redmi AirDots have been called a cheap AirPods killer and offered active noise cancellation and Bluetooth 5.0 support.

A couple of Bluetooth certificates have been unearthed that reveal the existence of the Redmi AirDots 2 and Redmi SonicBass Wireless Earphones. Unsurprisingly, the certificates don’t reveal too many details about the devices. The model number for the Redmi AirDots 2 is listed as TWSEJ061LS while the Redmi SonicBass Wireless Earphones are registered as INLYEJ02LS with their Bluetooth 5.0 certification.

The Redmi AirDots 2 from Xiaomi will likely be priced at an affordable level; the original Redmi AirDots cost just 99 yuan (US$14) upon their release on the Chinese market. It’s currently possible to pick up these earphones for US$29.99 from B&H. The True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds feature 7.2 mm drivers and can offer up to 15 hours of combined playback (four hours from the buds and 11 hours from the charging case).

It was previously believed the Redmi AirDots 2 could simply be a rebrand of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic, but the model numbers found on the Bluetooth certificates do not match. Along with the seemingly upcoming Redmi AirDots 2 there is also mention of the Redmi SonicBass Wireless Earphones, which may come with a handy neckband according to recent speculation.
