A leaked poster hints at a brand-new member of Huawei's MatePad slate series. This one seems to have an about 10-inch screen with a 2K resolution. It is described as powered by the Kirin 810 processor, and may be intended to appeal to students.

Huawei is now rumored to have a new MatePad in the works. A poster for this possibly 10-inch tablet has allegedly been spotted in China by the Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station. It may show that the new device will run a 2019 mid-tier SoC and have a decently high-res screen. It may also come with one of Huawei's own-brand styli (an M-Pen).

Therefore, it could provide effective competition for other new slates in this arena, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite included. However, it is also possible it will target some lower-end iPads as well. The putative imminent Huawei release - which, according to its new poster, will simply be called the new MatePad, is shown in a white colorway and with a single rear-facing camera.

Despite these slightly generic attributes, however, the screen as depicted seems uninterrupted by a notch or even a sensor-bar of any kind. This might suggest a camera hidden somewhere in its bezel, which is constant all around the screen - or that it does not have a front-facing image sensor at all. In addition, it will reportedly come with an "exclusive education center", hinting at a learning-friendly pitch within this new tablet's launch presentation.
