Xiaomi's Mi Watch and next-gen Mi TV are now set for launch in November 2019
The Mi CC9 Pro, a phone touted to bear the new and extra 108MP ISOCELL Bright image sensor, is the probable main event at Xiaomi's next launch, which is scheduled for November 5, 2019. However, the OEM has announced that at least 2 additional products will share the new mobile device's limelight. One of them is a new smartwatch that may run Google's Wear OS 2.0 rather than a proprietary system as usual.
The leaks that have surrounded this new device has led to conclusions that it is to be called the Mi Watch. The latest of these shows what is purported to be an image of the same. It suggests that this new product will not ship with a round dial, as with potential competitors such as the Ticwatch S2 or Misfit Vapor X. On the contrary, it shows a display that is unusually long in the portrait direction for a squared-off smartwatch.
Should this new picture, which has been spilled onto Weibo, prove accurate, the "Mi Watch" screen may be that rectangular in order to accommodate a mystery feature like an upside-down U seen towards the device's bottom edge. However, Xiaomi has not overtly confirmed this - or the leaked product name - in its latest launch announcement.
This statement, also released on Weibo, also mentions a "TV 5". Therefore, it seems at least 1 successor to the Mi TV 4-series is also on the way. The event in question is to start at 14.00 (presumably Chinese time) on the day in question, and may be streamed online.
