LG UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE: New 27-inch OLED gaming teased before CES 2024 reveal
LG has revealed initial details about the 27GS95QE, the smallest member in its upcoming UltraGear OLED refresh. For reference, the company's other new OLED gaming monitors span 32-, 34-, 39- and 44.5-inches across five other SKUs. As for the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE, this actually measures 26.5-inches despite what its model number implies.
In a press release, LG has confirmed that the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE will combine a 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution with a 240 Hz refresh rate. In other words, the monitor is also the lowest resolution option in LG's new UltraGear OLED product stack and only one of two to offer a 16:9 aspect ratio. Predictably, LG claims that the gaming monitor delivers a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, 0.03 ms GtG response times and 98.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage too, although this is true of many OLED gaming monitors.
Moreover, the UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE is said to integrate AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies, as well as DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 connection. Also, LG states that the monitor is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, which should ensure at least 400 nits peak brightness. Presumably, LG will reveal more details about the 27GS95QE and its other new UltraGear OLED gaming monitors during CES 2024, which runs between January 9 and January 12.
