ASUS has revealed the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP, a 32-inch gaming monitor that it claims is the 'world's first dual-mode monitor'. The ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP will be revealed at CES 2024 with 4K/240 Hz and 1080p/480 Hz display options.

ASUS is gearing up to have a busy CES 2024. Earlier this month, the company confirmed that it would be attending next year's Las Vegas-based conference with the ROG Phone 8 and a new version of the Zephyrus G14. While a substantial leak has revealed most information about the former, little is known about the latter and how ASUS will distinguish it from its current model.

Now, it has started teasing a new gaming monitor that will sit within its ROG Swift OLED range. To recap, a few months have passed since ASUS presented the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD, ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM and ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM, a trio of monitors with 49-inch, 32-inch and 34-inch panel sizes, respectively. While the company has not released the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM or ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM yet, it has decided to add the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP to its burgeoning roster.

As VideoCardz notes, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP shares its design with the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM, as well as a 4K native resolution and a 240 Hz peak refresh rate. However, the former adds a 1080p and 480 Hz option, which the latter lacks. Incidentally, it appears that the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP and LG UltraGear 32GS95UE share the same OLED panel, details of which we have covered separately. Thus, it seems that the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP will slot in as a more expensive alternative to the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen how much either will cost or when they will go on sale.
