ASUS has announced the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM, one of several gaming monitors shown by the company today at Gamescom 2023. Based around a bright OLED panel, the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM also has an 800R curvature, a 1440p native resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate, among other features.

ASUS has introduced the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM, a new ultra-wide gaming monitor showcased alongside the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM and ROG Swift OLED PG49WDCD pricing during its Gamescom 2023 event. As its name suggests, the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM relies upon an OLED panel that measures 34-inches across, making it only slightly larger than the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM. However, while the latter has a flat finish, ASUS has designed the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM with an 800R curvature.

According to ASUS, the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM operates natively at 3,440 x 1,440 pixels with a 240 Hz refresh rate, making it a world's first of sorts. As the image below shows, ASUS bills the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM as the world's first gaming monitor with all these characteristics, which it complements with 0.03 ms GtG response times and NVIDIA G-SYNC. Additionally, the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM houses the following ports:

  • DisplayPort 1.4
  • HDMI 2.1
  • USB 3.2 Type-A
  • USB Type-C (90 W USB PD)

Moreover, the gaming monitor has a KVM switch that allows the control of two devices via a connected mouse and keyboard. ASUS adds that the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM is also DisplayHDR True Black 400 compliant and delivers 1,300 nits peak brightness when viewing HDR content. In a press release, ASUS states that it expects to begin selling the gaming monitor in Q1 2024. Conversely, TFT Central reports that it has been informed that the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM should debut sometime in Q4 2023, likely before Christmas. Either way, ASUS has not revealed ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM pricing yet.
