Dell has previewed the UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor U3425WE shortly before CES 2024. Arriving next month, the U3425WE will be available for $1,019.99 with a 34-inch panel that boasts a 120 Hz refresh rate and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity.

Dell has previewed the UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U3425WE), one of two UltraSharp monitors presented today alongside a 40-inch variant. As its name suggests, the U3425WE combines a 34-inch curved panel with Thunderbolt connectivity, among other features. In the case of the former, Dell states that it is the 'first 34-inch monitor certified for 5-star Eye Comfort', an explanation for which we have detailed in our UltraSharp U2724D and UltraSharp U2724DE launch article.

Additionally, the U3425WE combines a 3,440 x 1,440-pixel (WQHD) resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate, compared to 60 Hz for previous models. Moreover, Dell's decision to include an IPS Black panel allows the monitor to achieve a 2,000:1 contrast ratio with 100% sRGB, 100% Rec. 709 and 98% Display P3/DCI-P3 colour space coverages. Also, Dell outlines that U3425WE contains the following ports:

  • 1x 2.5 Gigabit RJ45
  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 1x DisplayPort 1.4
  • 1x HDMI 2.1 FRL
  • 1x Thunderbolt 4 (90 W Power Delivery)
  • 5x USB Type-A
  • 4x USB Type-C (15 W Power Delivery/10 Gbps)

Furthermore, the U3425WE supports swivel, tilt and height (150 mm) adjustments via its built-in stand, as well as Auto KVM and Network KVM functionality with two devices connected at once. The U3425WE will be available globally beginning February 27. Currently, Dell has only confirmed Canadian and US pricing, which it has set at $1,019.99 and CA$1,399.99, respectively. Unfortunately, pricing for other regions remains unknown for now.
