ASUS confirms specifications for new Mini LED professional monitor shortly before launch day
ASUS has finally announced availability for the ProArt Display PA32UCXR, over eight months after the monitor's debut during NAB 2023. Since then, ASUS has exhibited the monitor at Computex 2023 in May and four months later during IBC 2023. Supposedly, ASUS was targeting a Q3 2023 launch for the ProArt Display PA32UCXR, although this window passed without any explanation for the monitor's delay.
Instead, the company has now confirmed that the ProArt Display PA32UCXR will be 'on shelves by January 2024'. Unfortunately, pricing still remains a mystery, as does a precise release date. Instead, ASUS has now listed the ProArt Display PA32UCXR on its website and provided full device details. For context, the company initially confirmed that the ProArt Display PA32UCXR featured a 31.5-inch and 4K IPS panel complemented by 2,304 Mini LED backlight zones.
As such, the ProArt Display PA32UCXR peaks at 1,600 nits with 1,000 nits sustained full-screen brightness and 97% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Added to this, the monitor has a 60 Hz refresh rate, 5 ms GtG response times and support for Dolby Vision, HLG and HDR10 technologies. Moreover, ASUS includes various ProArt video presets, as well as five colour temperature modes, gamma adjustment (1.8/2.0/2.2/2.4/2.6) and hardware calibration to △E< 1 colour accuracy.
Also, the ProArt Display PA32UCXR features a pair of 3 W speakers, two Thunderbolt 4 ports that can be daisy chained, a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection and twin HDMI 2.0 ports. On top of that, ASUS has equipped the monitor with three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, a 3.5 mm jack and a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port that provides 90 W using the USB Power Delivery protocol. Furthermore, the ProArt Display PA32UCXR comes with a stand that supports tilt (+23° ~ -5°), swivel (+30° ~ -30°), pivot (+90° ~ -90°) and height adjustments (0~100 mm).
