Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro now available globally to take on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship rivals
Almost two months have passed since Vivo introduced the X100 and X100 Pro, a pair of flagships based around 3,000-nit displays and MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipsets. Since then, the X100 series has been battling the omnipotence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which can already be found in various high-end smartphones. Now, Vivo has given the X100 and X100 Pro their first international releases, less than two weeks before Samsung presents the Galaxy S24 series.
While Samsung is expected to offer its next flagships in almost every market possible, ongoing patent disputes with Nokia prevent Vivo from selling the X100 series in Germany. Nonetheless, the company has informed our German-speaking colleagues that the X100 Pro will soon be available in Austria but only in its Asteroid Black colourway. For some reason, Vivo has not shared Eurozone pricing yet and has seemingly elected against launching the cheaper X100 there.
Conversely, Vivo has decided to release both models in India, with pre-orders opening today. Like the Redmi Note 13 series that Xiaomi also unveiled there today, the X100 and X100 Pro will not reach general sale until next week, specifically on January 11. It is also worth noting that although the X100 comes in Stargaze Blue and Asteroid Black finishes, only the latter is available for the X100 Pro. Vivo has priced the X100 and X100 Pro as follows in India:
- Vivo X100 (12 GB RAM/256 GB storage) - INR 63,999 (~$769)
- Vivo X100 (16 GB RAM/512 GB storage) - INR 69,999 (~$841)
- Vivo X100 Pro (16 GB RAM/512 GB storage) - INR 89,999 (~$1,081)
