Galaxy Xcover7: New rugged smartphone to launch at a fairly affordable price

The market for particularly rugged smartphones is anything but small. However, the proportion of devices that come from the big smartphone manufacturers is quite low. Samsung offers such rugged smartphones with its Xcover series. Last year there was already the first and quite extensive leak about the Galaxy Xcover7, and now information about the price has also been leaked.

Roland Quandt reports via X (formerly Twitter) that the Samsung Galaxy Xcover will be launched on the market at a price of 379.90 euros. This figure refers to the smartphone with 6 gigabytes of RAM and an internal memory with a capacity of 128 gigabytes. As the model has not yet been officially presented by Samsung, this information should also be taken with a pinch of salt. The pricing is not too surprising, with the Galaxy Xcover6 Pro currently being offered for just under 550 euros.

There is also no official information on the features. However, according to a Geekbench entry, the smartphone will be launched on the market with a SoC based on eight ARM cores, whereby the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ could be involved. Samsung will use Android 14 as the operating system. A 6.6-inch display is likely to be installed, and the built-in battery is expected to have a capacity of 4,000 mAh. Information on IP certification is not yet available, but the Xcover6 Pro has IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certification.
