Tank 3 Pro: Rugged smartphone with projector, giant battery, 5G, and camping light launches at a mid-range price

The Tank 3 Pro has been officially unveiled and will soon be available for pre-order. Specifically, the new model will be available at a price of just under 600 dollars, apparently with a 50-dollar voucher on offer. Pre-orders are scheduled to start as early as March 8. According to the current status, delivery is also possible to Germany, although potential customers should be well informed about the shipping terms (for example, import duties). Other 8849 smartphones are available on Amazon.

The smartphone is based on a Dimensity 8200-Ultra SoC and, therefore, not only supports the fast 5G mobile networks but also WiFi 6. The 23,800 mAh battery can be charged with a power of up to 120 watts. The smartphone is equipped with 16 or 18 GB of native RAM. The internal memory is more than ample at 512 GB and can be expanded by up to 2 TB using a memory card.

A camping light is built in. The Tank 3 Pro should therefore offer great added value when camping, for example. The smartphone is also equipped with a DLP projector - the brightness is specified at 100 lumens, so customers will have to darken the room or tent accordingly and/or make do with a smaller projection surface.

The 176 x 86 x 29.8-millimeter smartphone weighs 969 grams and has a 6.79-inch display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,460 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A night vision camera is available, and the main camera has a resolution of 200 MP. IP68 certification is also available.
